Almost 5 months! 4 Months to go and I will be a daddy!

A nice saturday after a week hard work.
Sleeping late of course but now relaxing outside in 32 degrees. It is cloudy in Bangkok, what makes it nice and cool since it rained during the night.

Last night I came home after a Friday night beer and Ann and me took a shower before going to bed. I could not resist to take a picture of her belly to show you all how big she is!
When we walk down the street, people think she is about to explode!
Nothing is more far from the truth as we have 4 months more to go!

Ann almost 5 months pregnant with my baby

We are enjoying the pregnancy, but of course we can't wait till the baby is with us. Then it will become "real". Although I already see Ann's sun as my own, this is a whole new nice experience for me.
Although we did decide two children will be enough.

At the moment also all of you must be wondering again how I am doing in Bangkok with the red shirts protesting. Well I am doing okay. At the side of town where I live I do not notice a lot although the whole of Bangkok and probably Thailand is talking about the recent events.
Grenade explosions at the skytrain station, near to a tourist area is not really what most of the Thais want as tourism is part of their economy.
That is also why I hope that tourist will come back to Thailand when this is all over. The Thais need it!

I am not really sure what the plans are this weekend but if it is something special I will of course report back!

A relaxed Sunday.. With Gungs!

[Mensen die via Hyves mijn blog lezen raad ik aan om deze post via Blogger.com te lezen. Op Hyves worden de foto's namelijk schots en scheef weergegeven.]

Last week David (a Swedisch friend) stayed with us for a few days. Now he has gone to India on business for a week or so, then he will come back to stay with us for a few more days before he goes to Hua Hin to give himself some beach time.
Since he came I started to sit on the roof terrace in evenings, what is nice and cool only you get eaten alive if you don't use mosquito cream or spray.

After 8 months of living in this house I finally discovered how nice my roof terrace actually is to relax in the evenings and have a nice beer before going to bed.
Since then Ann and me have been sitting there every evening. A few nights ago we even dragged the TV up there to watch the football.

Today was a bit of a relaxed day.. The night before it had rained so it was nice and cool with a lot of clouds so we had some shades. So I went up to the roof terrace in the afternoon (35 degrees Celcius), when we decided it was a good idea to put sometime on the BBQ for diner.
We did as thought and right now I am feeling very full with a lot of King Prawn's in my belly.
(In Thailand we call a king prawn, a Gung.)
After cutting them a bit open first in a pot to put over some garlic and soja.
Of course we also need a nice sauce to dip them in.
(Sorry was to lazy to turn the picture again)
After a while Ann put's on the first load.
Don't they look nice on the BBQ?
This was me under protest :) Ann was making some fried rice downstairs so I had to stay and turn them over.
Pop wanted to turn them over but he was only allowed to pose like this for the picture.
Finally time to eat!

What you see on the picture is a typical Thai BBQ. This one is sort of a pot but they are also made out of buckets. At first I didn't think that would be nice but I have to say it is better then most BBQ's I have seen in Europe.

Anyway.. tomorrow it is time for work again so I am going to try and enjoy the rest of my Sunday off :)

Lazy

It is again almost 2 months ago since my last blog. Sometimes I forget to put something down and sometimes I am just being lazy.
Over the past week I have been in Hua Hin and that has actually been very nice after not being here since Christmas. A bit of relaxing and meeting friends gives a good rest. We did not do more then going to the beach and have nice diners.

Tomorrow it is time to go back to Bangkok and we actually feel sorry about that as most of our personal life is in Hua Hin, but it is also nice to be in Bangkok again.
As many of you guys maybe already know, my girlfriend Ann is pregnant and we are expecting a baby around the 1st of September and are looking forward to it.
Luckily we can get the best medical care in Bangkok so that is also a good thing about being there.

Other then that not much happened in the land of the smile but the red shirts acting up again. I think you have already read about that though. After the red and the yellow we now also have the pink shirts. The pink shirts are people working in the tourism industry protesting against the red shirts destroying tourism with their actions costing over a billion Baht (over 30.000.000 US$) in just the last year.
The Prime Minister now also backed down a bit and gave the red shirts a finger by putting elections a bit forward to next year. We all now what will happen when you give a finger though..

Well thanks for reading again all and hopefully you will see some pregnancy reports in the near future.
