Bangkok a warzone

Maybe all of you were following the news out of Bangkok in Thailand with the red shirts.
Today the army went in their area and the red shirt leaders surrendered at the head police office here in Bangkok.
They told their people to back off and go home now, but most of them didn't listen to it. People are shooting here at stores at the moment and setting shopping malls on fire.

This is Central World burning down, the biggest mall in Thailand.
I went home early today as there is a curfew at the moment. People have to be in their homes from 8 pm to 6 am, only if you have to go to the airport you are allowed out in Bangkok if you have your passport and plane ticket to prove it.
I guess they want the streets empty so they can clean the red shirts out without hurting normal people.
Next to that the Bangkok post and the Nation Multimedia (Thailand's two English languaged newspapers) had to evacuate as the red shirts were storming their buildings as they didn't always write to positive about them.
Even Channel 3 one of Thailand's main channels is off the air now as red protesters tried to come in.

Luckily my end of town is relatively save and you will be happy to know we are also okay, but following the news hoping tomorrow everything is at least almost back to normal.
I do hope people realize how this damaged the country and I do hope that tourist will come back after this is all taken care of as it can't be the case that the good people are now suffering.

I will try to keep everyone posted!

A nice week!

Hello all!

It has a been a nice but busy week. Busy with work and busy with the family..
Monday was the busiest, Ann went for a scan to see the baby in the morning and when I came home from work she was on her way to the hospital again.
Pop had a small accident, while leaning over the sink to open the tab, the sink came down on his hand. It was a big wound and after I arrived when he was getting some first aid we drove him to the nearest hospital.
Pop on the way to the hospital on my lap in the car.

Pop is alright now.. he had 8 stitches and they have to be cleaned every day but they can go out next week. We will now make sure the new bathroom sink is screwed into the wall a bit better.

Anyway Ann also went for her scan that day so here are also a couple of pictures we have from our doughter Nyssa now still in Ann's belly.
Very nice that I can already see my daughter! And yes that is also news.. it is 99% sure going to be a girl named Nyssa. You might wonder why I am not keeping the name a secret...?
Well just because I see no point in doing that.

Yesterday night a good friend from Sweden came back from Hua Hin and we had a small BBQ with some Indonesian saté with peanut sauce. Hmm
Just an early night for me now.. Hoping for a nice sunday!
